Jones Chophouse

The exterior of this place does not look like what you would expect for a top chop house, but this is a perfect example of “don’t judge a book by the cover”. The moment you enter you can see it is everything you expected plus more. The staff are all very friendly and welcoming. Our server, Terra, was delightful. She was very helpful and attentive. The food? Oh yea, AMAZING! I enjoyed the Chophouse chicken, French onion soup and my husband ordered the rib eye steak, Mac and cheese, and a salad. The dessert was a spectacular spice carrot cake with just the right amount of delicious cream cheese frosting. When we were leaving we noticed down at the end of the building was a place called Jones Gin Joint. We will be back to check it out. We highly recommend Jones ChopHouse for dinner in you are in the area. Enjoy!

I can only speak to our to go food as we did not eat in the restaurant. My brother was on leave so the family went to Lake of the Ozarks for the weekend and tried Jones Chophouse for dinner as it was close and had good reviews. We placed on order to go with several dinners. Upon returning back to our rental the salad dressing was everywhere as none of them had lids. Butter and sour cream was all over the baked potato container as again there were no lids. The seabass was maybe 2 bits at most and the mashed potatoes and brussel sprouts were missing. We brought the food back and asked for a manager. I will say the bartenders were extremely professional, apologized and upon showing them you could tell they felt bad. They offered free drinks but we declined. Reason for a 2 star. The manager said correct order and returned with new food. Said included free dessert as an apology. Upon returning home noticed the bread was included this time. The seabass was still 2 bites and the mashed potatoes still missing. I will say the ribeye and prime rib were great but the seabass had zero flavor along with being 2 bites. My sister in law tried the dessert only to find a sharp piece of plastic in the dessert (pictured). Sadly we threw the dessert and seabass away. We did not return. I have no problem paying for good food but this place left alot to be desired. Again our experience is from takeout only but wanted to share in case others visiting who would like an honest review.

We loved jones outpost in Montreal, so we were excited to finally try the chop house. Prices were in line with other steak houses, but the food was not. My husband ordered the pork chop and said it was very tough. I had the chicken breast with risotto and broccoli. Thinnest chicken breast ever. Risotto had zero flavor. Overall disappointing experience. I would give it another chance and get their famous fried chicken, hopefully that didn’t change from the outpost location.

I visited Memorial Day weekend with a group of 16. Being a large group on a big weekend, I reached out about reservations. While they don’t do reservations, Jill appreciated the heads-up and assured me they’d be ready for us. Terra was our waitress and was an absolute dream, keeping the many orders straight, recommending drinks and sides, and bringing dessert to the Bride- and groom-to-be we were there to celebrate. Her coworkers were also wonderful. The group brought up multiple times in the rest of our trip how great the staff and food was. It was a major highlight of the weekend and we’ll definitely return the next time we’re in town!

This is located right off of KK across from the Oak’s golf course. We loved the warm atmosphere here. It has the feel of a beautiful lodge. Friendly staff and excellent service. The menu is a bit pricey, but for what you get, it is in line with the rest of the lake. The prime rib was amazing, salads were good, and the cashew encrusted chicken was delicious. They bring you bread baked in a flower pot. I had the grilled shrimp. I probably would not do that again. They were just medium sized shrimp grilled. They were kind of underwhelming, but my fellow diner was pleased with hers. They bring out the food on quaint wooden carts. I would go back and try a different entree, as they all looked very good.

Jones Chop House is a great addition to the Osage Beach dining scene. The atmosphere is relaxed. The staff is warm and inviting. The drinks are superb. The menu is a delicious mix of classics and new creations. Spiderweb Shrimp and Mussel Fries are not to be missed. Bone-in pork chop is phenomenal. Ribeye is juicy and flavorful. Shrimp and Grits are second to none.
